I started Pilates at BODYBAR Pilates Plano in December of 2022 and I really enjoyed it. I recently had to cancel my membership due to relocating, but I was super sad to leave. The classes were good and “spicy” and the instructors (Larkin, Rachel, Leah, Abby, etc.) are friendly & helpful. I definitely notice a different in my body.
Thank you (again) Larkin for introducing me to Pilates! I wish I could have the exact instructors from BODYBAR Pilates Plano wherever I sign up for Pilates here in KC !
I was so excited to see this place, and my first two sessions were great. Alas, on my third visit there, an instructor was taking her test to become an instructor. During the class, she kept using me as an example on how to do things. I have a disability, so I would make modifications. It was completely fine in the other classes, but in this one, the modifications I had to make were used it raining sample on how not to do the exercise by the instructor. It surely meant that after that class I canceled my membership because I don’t want to be used as an example on how to not do things when it’s a disability and I have no control over it.
I love BODYBAR so much! As someone who definitely gained a few pounds (or more) during the quarantine I was a little nervous about getting back to a workout routine. I ended up getting a free week to try out the studio and I was hooked! The instructors were not only super welcoming but they also broke everything down in a way that made it easy for me to understand as someone who had never done Pilates before. They also took precautions that made me feel comfortable and safe. The instructors are accommodating to injuries and anything else you may need assistance with. I lost the weight I gained but more importantly I feel stronger and more confident in my body. I’ve taken countless friends and family members to classes with me. I would recommend to anyone looking to try something new with their workouts, get back to working out or even just looking for a change!
I truly cannot describe the benefits from going to BODYBAR. A wonderful community and a great place to workout. I switched from high impact workouts to Pilates and my body has never felt better. The difference is incredible. If you haven’t tried Pilates, BODYBAR is a great place to start. Lots of different class style options and talented instructors. Ive been going since January 2021 and I am so thankful I decided to try it out!
I started Pilates here a year ago after wanting to try it for several years. I understand the hype. I have been a runner my entire life, but I’ve never been in as good of shape as I am now. The studio is nice. Instructors are great and push you to improve. Never the same class twice which keeps it interesting. Easy to schedule. And the community of people is fun. I love it.
